A muscle relaxant is Flexilax 10. It is used to treat muscle symptoms like rigidity, tension, and stiffness that can be brought on by a variety of diseases and injuries like cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease, or head, brain, or spine trauma.
In the spinal cord, baclofen reduces monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflexes by activating GABAB receptors that stop the release of glutamate and aspartate. By acting at intraspinal sites, it may also depress the CNS. Additionally, baclofen has antinociceptive properties.
Adults and kids older than ten: Ideally, take 5 mg thrice daily with or after food. The maximum daily dose is 100 mg.
